The Canada-Alberta Productivity Grant helps employers invest in workforce training by covering a significant portion of training costs. At MCL Height Safety, we’re proud to be an eligible training provider for this program, making it easier and more affordable for companies to upskill their teams in rope access, fall protection, and working at height.
What is the Canada-Alberta Productivity Grant?
The Canada-Alberta Productivity Grant is a government-funded program designed to help employers provide skills training for their current and future employees. The grant covers up to 50% of training costs, helping organizations build safer, more capable teams.
Review the Canada-Alberta Productivity Grant Applicant Guidelines before starting your application.
Log in to the Canada-Alberta Productivity Grant Portal and register your business.
Wait to receive a registration approval email or check the portal for a registration status update.
Go to the CAPG Portal and complete the correct application for your trainee(s).
The Government of Alberta’s preferred method of payment is electronic funds transfer (EFT). It is a faster and more secure way to reimburse you. For security purposes, only upload documents using the CAPG Portal. To receive an EFT payment, upload 2 documents to a grant file:
For security and privacy reasons, select ‘Company Banking Documents’ as the document type. Files will not display back in the portal once successfully uploaded.

You can apply either before or after training is completed. Visit the CAPG Portal to submit your application.

Yes! MCL Height Safety is an accredited training provider, and our courses qualify for Canada-Alberta Productivity Grant funding.
After completing training, upload the required documents AEP form and bank document to the CAPG Portal to receive reimbursement via electronic funds transfer.
