Fixed Ladder Inspection Course in Calgary

MCL Height Safety’s Fixed Ladder Inspection Course is a one-day program designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct thorough inspections of fixed ladders. The course emphasizes compliance with relevant safety standards and provides both theoretical and practical training to ensure participants can identify potential hazards and maintain ladder safety effectively.

  • Candidates will be provided with the knowledge and skill set to be able to carry out in-service inspection of fixed ladders.
  • Candidates will be able understanding of the roles and responsibilities of an inspector.
  • Candidates will gain awareness of the current standards for fixed ladders.
  • Candidates will be provided with an understanding of the inspection criteria for the following:
    • Fixing element
    • Type of ladders
    • Safety cage
    • Safety gate/trapdoor
    • Required distances.
  • Candidates will be provided with an understanding of completing an inspection report and paperwork to be provided to the client after an inspection and tagging information.

This course is ideal for professionals responsible for accessing, maintaining, or inspecting fixed ladder systems, including:

  • Telecom tower and mast technicians.
  • Roofers and building maintenance personnel.
  • Site inspectors and surveyors.

All training equipment is provided and included in the course fee. Successful candidates will be issued with Certificate at no additional cost upon completion of the assessment

Requirements

Participants must be at least 18 years of age and in good physical health.

All candidates are required to be free from any medical conditions or disabilities that could interfere with safe participation in training.

A self-declared statement of fitness must be completed prior to the course.

A working knowledge of English is essential. Participants must be able to understand, speak, read, and write in English to follow course materials and instructions safely and effectively.

All Candidates must have completed a working at height training course.
