Kee Line® and Kee Track® Installation & Testing in Calgary

Please read the requirements prior to booking the course.

Master the installation of Kee Line® (flexible cable) and Kee Track® (rigid rail) systems on complex rooftops—including trapezoidal steel, membrane and concrete decks. This course blends theoretical knowledge with practical skills, covering power tool safety, load calculations and hands-on Hydrajaws testing to ensure compliance with current legislation and safety standards.
After completing the classroom portion, participants will move into the practical training phase, followed by a final assessment. A minimum score of 80% on the quiz is required to pass, verifying your readiness to apply these skills on-site.

By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Assess the advantages of working with Kee Safety.
  • Define the key characteristics of flexible and rigid horizontal lifeline (HLL) systems.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of HLL system fundamentals.
  • Identify and apply appropriate PPE combinations for use with HLL systems.
  • Interpret relevant North American legislation and standards.
  • Understand how Kee Safety products are tested and meet compliance requirements.
  • Analyze the components that make up a complete HLL system.
  • Recognize various roof and structural anchoring methods.
  • Install horizontal lifeline systems correctly on different substrates using approved tools and techniques.
  • Select and use proper tools required for HLL system installation.
  • Perform practical cable pull testing using Hydrajaws equipment.
  • Follow standardized checklists for HLL system commissioning.
  • Evaluate recertification requirements for maintaining HLL safety standards.
  • Discuss key considerations for effective system design and layout planning.

This course is ideal for individuals involved in the design, installation, inspection, or certification of fall protection systems, particularly Horizontal Lifeline Systems (HLLs). Suitable participants include:

  • Fall protection system installers and technicians working on rooftops and elevated structures.
  • Engineers and safety managers responsible for the specification and oversight of HLL systems.
  • Project managers involved in the planning and implementation of rooftop safety solutions.
  • Health & Safety professionals seeking a deeper understanding of HLL standards, system components, and compliance.
  • Maintenance personnel who inspect or recertify installed systems.
  • Individuals pursuing certification in Kee Safety HLL products, or looking to partner with Kee Safety for system installation and service.

Anyone responsible for selecting, installing, or maintaining flexible and rigid horizontal lifeline systems across various substrates—including trapezoidal, standing seam, and membrane roofs—will benefit from this comprehensive training.
