Accredited Training Provider
We are recognized by the Global Wind Organisation (GWO), the international governing body for wind industry safety training.
GWO courses in Canada are delivered by MCL Height Safety, an accredited provider of Global Wind Organization training. Our full suite includes BST (Basic Safety Training), ART (Advanced Rescue Training), BTT (Basic Technical Training), and refresher programs designed to meet the highest international safety and technical standards for the wind energy industry. Whether you’re starting your career as a wind technician or advancing into specialized rescue and turbine maintenance, our internationally recognized training ensures safe and compliant turbine work.
GWO certification is the global benchmark for wind turbine safety training. Through our comprehensive training in Canada—covering BST, ART, BTT, and refresher modules—technicians build competencies in first aid, working at heights, fire awareness, rescue, and turbine maintenance. These certifications are mandatory for safe operations and recognized by turbine OEMs, offshore operators, and renewable energy providers worldwide.
Our training in Canada is structured to provide practical, job-ready skills for wind technicians:
BST (Basic Safety Training): Core modules in first aid, fire awareness, manual handling, and working at heights. Entry-level certification for anyone starting in the wind industry.
ART (Advanced Rescue Training): Specialized rescue techniques for turbine environments, including hub, nacelle, tower, and basement scenarios.
BTT (Basic Technical Training): A technical foundation in wind turbine systems, covering mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
Refresher Training: Renewal of BST or ART certification to maintain compliance, update safety knowledge, and validate rescue skills.
These wind safety training programs are ideal for:
BST (Basic Safety Training): Entry-level workers in the wind energy sector who need their first safety certification.
ART (Advanced Rescue Training): Technicians progressing beyond BST, specializing in rope rescue and evacuation.
BTT (Basic Technical Training): Candidates aiming for technical roles in turbine operations, including electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic systems.
Refresher Certification: Technicians looking to renew their safety credentials, ensuring compliance and employability in the renewable energy industry.
