GWO Manual Handling in Calgary

Our GWO Manual Handling course in Calgary is a half-day module within the GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) program. This GWO Manual Handling training equips wind industry workers with the knowledge and practical skills to safely lift, carry, push, and pull loads. Focused on injury prevention and efficiency, the course covers ergonomics, risk assessment, and correct body positioning techniques to meet GWO safety standards.

Included in Course

All training equipment is provided and included in the course fee. Successful candidates will be issued with a GWO WINDA Certificate at no additional cost upon completion of the assessment

Requirements

Participants must be at least 18 years of age and in good physical health.

All candidates are required to be free from any medical conditions or disabilities that could interfere with safe participation in training.

A self-declared statement of fitness must be completed prior to the course.

A working knowledge of English is essential. Participants must be able to understand, speak, read, and write in English to follow course materials and instructions safely and effectively.

All new participants must register on the GWO WINDA system prior to the course to obtain a valid WINDA ID. This ID is required to record your certification.

Participants must wear steel-toed safety boots to the training.
